WDB COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES

Executive Committee
Objective of Committee:

1. Provide strategic direction for ECWDB
2. Oversee Personnel and Financial management of the ECWDB.
3. Responsible for ongoing Board Development.
4. Ensure compliance with WDB By-Laws.
5. Develop Community Awareness Plan

Program Planning & Oversight Committee
Objective of Committee:

1. Oversee the development of a five-year strategic plan that addresses the workforce development needs of the region.
2. Develop and review local program proposals.
3. Identify and implement effective employment and training strategies that results in employment opportunities for economically disadvantaged adults, youths, and dislocated workers.
4. Recommend funding allocations for WIA services.
5. Conduct oversight of program operations, including development and review of program policies.
6. Develop performance measures and monitor WIA service provider's performance on a quarterly basis.
5. Review WIA Training Provider applications for Certification.

JobLink Oversight Committee
Objective of Committee:

1. Oversee the development of the JobLink Career Center System.
2. Develop chartering process and review JobLink Charter Applications.
3. Conduct oversight of JobLink Career Center operations, including development and review of Center policies.
4. Develop JobLink performance standards and review outcomes on a quarterly basis.
5. Develop strategies to expand and promote the JobLink Career Center system across the region.

Youth Council
Objective of Committee:

1. Develop portions of the Local Plan pertaining to eligible youth.
2. Recommend eligible providers of youth activities, to be awarded contracts on a competitive basis by the WDB.
3. Identify and coordinate youth services throughout the region
4. Conduct oversight of local youth programs and certify eligible providers of youth services.
