Unemployment Benefits Alert:

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, weekly certifications for unemployment benefits must be submitted online at https://des.nc.gov/.

Due to a change in the weekly questionnaire based on new federal guidelines, the Division of Employment Security is discontinuing the use of the IVR telephone line as an option for filing weekly certifications. IVF is the interactive voice response technology that allowed claimants to submit their weekly certifications over the phone.

• You will need to complete your weekly certifications through your online account at https://des.nc.gov//
• If you have issues filing your weekly certification online, you can call the DES Customer Call Center at 888-737-0259 for assisstance.
• If you are not familiar with using a computer, we can connect you with skills training that will help you with filing claims and searching for jobs.
