Services for Military & Their Families
The Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board views serving our veterans and their families as an honor. Your service to our Country is appreciated and our service to you begins when your service ends.
Our Region is home to the highly-regarded military installations of Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune; Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point; Marine Corps Air Station, New River; and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Within these communities, our local NCWorks Career Centers offer exiting military members, veterans, and their families a full array of tailored career transition services to meet their employment and training needs.
At the local NCWorks Career Centers, there are dedicated veteran-service staff to serve you. In partnership with our local Department of Workforce Solutions, local veteran employment representatives and disabled veteran outreach specialists are trained and ready to assist you with your employment and training needs. These staff are veterans who understand firsthand what you are experiencing and are able to help you with process of re-entering the civilian workforce. They are also available to help to ensure that you receive preference and/or priority of services as prescribed by federal, state, and local laws. Whether you left the armed forces recently or years ago, your employment needs receive immediate attention.
